Are you ready for some football?!!

Are you ready to party?!!! Heading out today to Candlestick to see the 49ers play some other idiots.....which way to the Oakland Coliseum? Spending time with Hollister locals and old (really old) friends in the parking lot. Gosh, what'll I do to keep warm? Suppose I could just get numb right away. Methinks it's gonna be a long drive home afterward and a hard day's night the next day.

A highlight in my life was a meeting Joan Blackman. One of her most famous roles was Mailie Duval, the female lead opposite Elvis Presley in the 1961 movie Blue Hawaii. I photoshopped my face into this movie still and Joan wrote me a wonderful autograph! Later my wife and I found ourselves at Joan's house as her guests for a small dinner party. Joan cooked a marvelous dinner! It's now up to me to return the favor!

Christmas party at work the other day. First time I've shot with my nice little Nikon 35mm on my D300. Found I kept a more comfortable distance from subjects...enabled them to act more naturally or unnaturally, while still allowing me to get very close when I NEEDED to. Very, very pleased with the look of the shots, color, sharpness, lack-o-depthoffield when I shoot at 1.8.
